This course was taught by Dr. Wright. In this course I had the opportunity to expand more more my knowledge in another culture. At first I was nervous and excited to take this course. But I felt more nervous because I did not anything about Japanese culture. At some point I felt left out but at the it was a great experience to learn many aspects of the Japanese culture. In this course we used two textbooks. One of the textbooks was about Visual art and methodologies it was about how images how many aspects are involved in the images. The second textbook was A geek in Japan this textbook was excellent because it gave an overview of the country Japan. I enjoyed reading this textbook because it introduce important details to know about the culture the food the people and many places to visit. We also had to write a paper by comparing two images and I was glad that I ad to write because this course was about images and analyzing them. In this class we had a group presentation which I enjoyed a lot. My group presentation was about Ikebana flower arrangement my classmates and I focused on how to make an Ikebana. My group and I had an idea that to make the flower arrangement in the classroom while presenting. However, we decided that the whole class should participate so we brought the materials for the Ikebana. The whole class was excited and they had fun to that they had the opportunity to make their own flower arrangement. I enjoyed this presentation so much because making flower arrangements is one of my favorites hobbies. This course was exciting and interesting to learn about the culture of Japan.
